One of the most important aspects of a marching band contest is the audience. There are many types of spectators at a marching band contest and they have many different reasons for coming. However, they all have two major things in common, they want to enjoy the total experience and they want to be supportive of the performers.
You Should
- • Support all bands by applauding/cheering at high performance points and at show finale.
- • Be respectful of all other spectators by:

- o Not talking on cell phones
- o Turning off cell phones
- o Not allow children to play in the stands
- o Not obstructing the view of others. (Especially if you have flags, signs, banners)
- o Not going to the bathroom or snack bar during a performance
- o Never making negative comments about other bands
- o Never booing
- • Never approach judges with questions or concerns
- • Thank event sponsors and volunteers
